The winning lotto jackpot ticket on Saturday night last was sold in Co Galway.
There was one winning ticket sold and it is was worth more than €8.5m.
It was sold in the Corrib Oil Service Station in The Hill, Loughrea.
The winner has not yet been identified but according to Corrib Oil Service Station store manager, Pat Halligan lotto fever has gripped the town.
It’s is the biggest ever National Lottery win for the shop and he say he hopes it will be someone from the loicality that bought it.
However, it’s a busy store with more than 30 full and part-time staff.
The winning ticket was a Quick Pick and the winner has not yet come forward.
The winning numbers were 5, 6, 14, 19, 22 and 30 with a bonus number of 24.
