A post mortem is due to be carried out on the body of a woman who was killed when her caravan blew off a cliff in county Galway.

The alarm was raised at Claddaghduff, in the Clifden area,  at around 7.45 this morning and the woman's body was recovered on the beach below a short time later.

Winds of 130 km were recorded in the area at the time during Storm Ali.

Forecaster with Met Eireann, Aisling Butler, says the orange warning has been lifted, but a yellow wind warning is in place until 5pm this evening.
