Up to four masked raiders got way with several thousand euro worth of phones in a robbery in Roscommon town.
The raid happened around half past four this morning,
In the early hours of this morning a Silver 5 series BMW pulled up outside the Vodafone shop on Main street in Roscommon town.
Masked raiders armed with sledgehammers forced open the shutters and smashed their way into the shop and offices.
They took a large quantity of phones worth several thousand euro.
Gardaí responded to the alarm within minutes but the raiders had already made their escape.
The number plates on the Silver BMW had been stolen from two cars in the Lanesborough area around half past nine last night.
Anyone who may have been in Lanesborough or Roscommon between 4 and 5 o'clock this morning and noticed anything suspicious or have dash cam footage is asked to contact Gardai.
