Fine Gael General Election Candidate for Mayo Alan Dillon has welcomed the latest fall in the Live Register figures.

The latest CSO report shows that the number of people on the Live Register in Mayo has dropped again with the numbers of people now signing on down by 11% since the same time last year.

Mr Dillon says the Live Register has decreased by 48% since Fine Gael launched its Action Plan for Jobs in 2012.

He says that the Minister for Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, has highlighted, the party’s focus now is not just on job creation alone but also on the sustainability and productivity of jobs into the future.
