Gardai have confirmed to Midwest News that they are investigating an incident of criminal damage and assault at a house at Falsk, Roscommon in the early hours of this morning.
Gardai say that the incident occurred at around 5.30am. Reports suggest a large number of men entered the property early this morning.
Gardai say a number of people were injured during the incident, and three required hospital treatment.
A number of vehicles were set on fire and a dog was also seriously injured and had to be put down as a result.
This follows on from a statement by Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice to the Dail earlier this week, in which he said a group of up to 30 men, believed to be working on behalf of a third party, removed three people living at the property and secured it earlier this week.
Investigations into last night’s incident are ongoing.
