A 35.7 million euro capital investment package for Ireland's harbour network has been announced.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed says it represents an increase of 9.4 million on last year's expenditure.

2.48 million has been put aside for safety at the six Fishery Harbour Centres at Howth, Dunmore East, Castletownbere, Dingle, Ros An Mhíl and Killybegs.
