An investigation into a plane crash in County Mayo in which one person died, has found the pilot lost consciousness.
However, the final report by the Air Accident Investigation Unit says the reason for the pilot becoming incapacitated could not be determined.
58 year old Michael Mc Carrick who was flying the light aircraft, died when it crashed near Ballina on the 4th of May last year.
He was the only occupant of the plane.
According to the report the evidence of the pilot losing consciousness came from a compact video recorder recovered at the crash site.
